We live in a world where education has unfortunately been reduced to rote learning and the pursuit of marks. This method of teaching is woefully inadequate when it comes to helping children prepare to tackle real world problems. Goodhart’s Law states that “When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.” This is the case when scoring good marks becomes the measure for success in children.
At JK, we aim to make a difference in the way children are educated, and to this end, we are committed to our vision of nurturing the next generation to grow into their full potential. Our programs are specially curated to equip our children with contemporary skills and an all-round development. We do this by incorporating the 4 Cs – Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Creativity – into our multi-disciplinary lesson plans. We believe in a holistic approach of learning and play to give our children the tools they need for their own pursuit of excellence.
About Our Founder & Lead Educator
Our Founder Director and Lead Educator Mrs. Uma Meenakshi Jagadish Kumar hails from an entrepreneurial family that has a history of founding and managing quality educational institutions in Tamil Nadu since 1960, thus adding value to society. She has done her schooling at Sacred Heart Convent in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu, an acclaimed boarding school. She went on to complete her Engineering in Computer Science from one of the top institutions in India, NIT – Tiruchirapalli. Thereafter, she was placed at one of India’s leading IT firms, but she left to pursue her Master’s in Business Administration to kickstart her own entrepreneurial journey.
Rote education, where the focus is just on learning from textbooks and acing exams does not contribute to a child’s ability to reach their full potential and stretch their horizons – this has been a firm belief of our Founder Ms. Uma. In her quest to create a learning environment for children that emulated what she believed in, our first venture, Kinder Park Preschool was born. Thus, Kinder Park Preschool emphasized creative thinking, problem solving and experiential learning. The success story of Kinder Park Preschool paved way for our other programs- Read To Rock! and FLY.
Ms. Uma has attended the Train the Trainer program from the Dale Carnegie Institute, and also has experience as a soft skills trainer for college students. These have helped in training her team and in putting together the curriculum for her Leadership program. She has participated in workshops conducted by renowned international storytellers Craig Jenkins and Jeeva Raghunath and continuously updates her skill set. Ms. Uma has travelled extensively, and this has broadened her horizons and exposed her to a variety of cultures and customs. She is also an accomplished marathoner and fitness buff, who also finds time to indulge her passions of dance, reading and photography.

Meet Our Team
Ms. Rajeshwari
Ms Raji, as she is lovingly known by all our parents and students, has been with us for over 10 years. A dedicated Montessori-trained teacher committed to implementing our school curriculum. She is passionate about teaching children and when not in school, spends most of her time with her two little boys.
Ms. Ponmalar
Ms Malar, as she is popularly known by our parents and students, is also Montessori-trained with over 10 years of experience with us. She is caring, creative and very sensitive to the needs of our children. Apart from teaching, she enjoys listening to AR. Rahman music, reading magazines and solving crossword puzzles.
Ms. Murugeshwari
Ms. Murugesh is our Assistant Teacher and Librarian. She has been with us for 5 years and is responsible for all our design activities and maintaining our library. She enjoys reading, embroidery and watching TV shows.
